Aptova's intelligent interview engine is powered in part by the OpenAI API. When you provide an answer, it may be processed through OpenAI's systems to determine the best follow-up question and to extract key information from what you have shared.

• Under our agreement with OpenAI, your data is not used to train or improve their models
• The meaningful information extracted from your responses — such as your interests, skills, and financial context — is stored securely within Aptova's own systems, kept separate from your raw answer text
• OpenAI acts as a data processor on our behalf and is subject to strict data handling standards

We have put thoughtful security measures in place to protect your information:

• Your password is transformed using a one-way hashing process the moment you create it — it cannot be reversed or read by anyone
• Every connection between your device and our Platform is protected by HTTPS encryption
• Access to our database systems is restricted to authorised personnel only, under strict access controls
• Your login sessions are protected by secure token management to prevent unauthorised access

We continuously review and strengthen our security practices. In the unlikely event of a security concern affecting your account, please reach out to us immediately at security@aptova.in.

We hold your data only for as long as it serves a genuine purpose:

You are always in control. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.

We treat your information with discretion. The only circumstances in which we share data are:

• With OpenAI, strictly to process your responses as part of the assessment engine, as described in Section 3
• With our infrastructure partners, who host and operate the Platform on our behalf under binding data processing agreements
• When required by law, such as in response to a valid court order or legal obligation — and where permitted, we will notify you if this occurs
• In a business transition, such as a merger or acquisition, where your data may transfer to a successor organisation. We will give you advance notice and the opportunity to delete your account before any such transfer

Your information belongs to you, and we make it straightforward to exercise your rights. You can contact us at privacy@aptova.in to:

• Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correct any information that is inaccurate or out of date
• Delete your account and all associated personal data from our systems
• Export your assessment history in a structured, portable format
• Withdraw from the Platform at any time — simply stop using it, and we will handle any outstanding data in line with our retention policy

We aim to respond to all requests within 30 days.

Aptova uses a small number of cookies and browser storage tools to make the experience work properly:

• Session cookies keep you logged in as you move through the Platform
• Functional storage preserves your progress if you are using a guest session
• Analytics tools help us understand how the Platform is being used, using aggregated and non-identifiable data

You can adjust or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time. Please be aware that some features, particularly staying logged in, may not function as expected if cookies are turned off.

Aptova is designed for individuals aged 16 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 16. If you believe someone under 16 has used the Platform and provided personal information, please let us know at privacy@aptova.in and we will remove the data promptly.

Aptova is currently offered as a free platform. As we continue to grow and develop, we may introduce premium features, subscription plans, or other commercial offerings in the future. Any future commercial features will be introduced transparently, and you will always have a clear choice about whether to participate.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our Platform evolves.
